Diary: It's a party at the palace for Grey's Mendelsohn

The energetic Nicola Mendelsohn gets Diary's full respect for riding the advertising party rollercoaster to its fullest potential.

Even Sir David Attenborough would have great difficulty keeping up with, let alone documenting, the hectic lifestyle of the Grey deputy chairman at the moment.

By no means is it a novelty for an industry bigwig to be seen out and about, but Mendelsohn is running a masterclass on how it should be done by appearing at three swanky, invitation-only dos, at some of the UK's most famous addresses.

She started the run last Thursday by attending and speaking at a drinks reception held at 11 Downing Street for the domestic abuse charity Women's Aid. Other famous faces included Jemma Kidd and Kevin Whately (Lewis from Inspector Morse).

The ski resort of St Moritz was her next stop when she joined Guy Zitter, the managing director of the Daily Mail, and his pals for a piste of the action over the weekend.

But she has left the best 'til last. She will round off her social whirl with a reception at Buckingham Palace to celebrate Britain's best businesswomen with the Queen.

Mendohlson will not be the only adland luminary there. Sarah Gold, Clemmow Hornby Inge's managing director, will also be present.
