Diary: Kelly Brook's gay date

Readers familiar with Kelly Brook's larger endorsements will know that Lynx has been using the model to flog its scent.

She is currently starring in an online game for the brand, reviewed in this issue's Private View (Beattie McGuinness Bungay's Ben Walker says it is "14-year-old wank material"). How ironic, then, that the ultimate prize Lynx is offering, a date with Brook, has been won by a gay man. What's more, he works in an ad agency. Chemistry's Tim Shepherd entered the Lynx competition while he was doing some research and won, by mistake. Probably the first time the old "doing some research" excuse has ever been true. His popularity in the office soared when he sent an e-mail round the agency asking if anyone would like to go with him.
