DIARY: Life drawing will raise more than morale ..

It seems the ad industry isn't immune to the suggestions of management consultants - this week: team building arty style.

At the design shop 141 they've decided to give walking across the wilds of Dartmoor a miss. Instead, at the instigation of Neil Woodley, the head of art, staff morale is being raised through life-drawing classes. So far there have been 14 takers for the weekly sessions, run by an artist roped in to coach the goggle-eyed creatives in the intricacies of the naked human form, although the bashful subject has yet to make an appearance. And the purpose, exactly?

'To keep the team drawing so as to help them regain or build their confidence when producing layouts.' Of course.
