One of Mustoe’s first clients, it appears, was the top tailor, Gieves

and Hawkes. So, how many of its suits does Mustoe have? ‘Er, I tried to

buy one in the sale once but they’d run out of my size.’



All right, so do you think of yourself as the Gieves and Hawkes of

advertising - tailor-made solutions, bespoke advertising, and so on?

‘Er, we’d rather be the Levi’s of advertising.’



So what’s Gieves and Hawkes’s biggest problem? ‘Er, it’s too crusty and

intimidating.’
