It was a giant love-in at the British Arrows last week. Attendees at the Battersea Evolution seemed to go a bit misty-eyed when Jeremy Craigen went up to collect his Chairman's Award, and many rose to their feet to applaud the DDB creative legend. Similarly, lots of people in the room were upstanding as they applauded Bartle Bogle Hegarty adding another Agency of the Year award to its collection. It may have been the bucketloads of Pinot Grigio on the tables, but Diary likes to think it's all getting a bit warmer and fuzzier in adland.
It's good to know that people in advertising aren't always as back-biting as they like to make out.
