8.30pm Metro’s Ben Davey spots a dishevelled bloke loitering in the

lobby and invites him up for a drink to watch the evening’s

entertainment - Jools Holland. ’Cheers, but I’m in the band, mate,’ is

the stranger’s riposte.



10pm Jools and crew kick the party into gear. The sax player spies PR

girl Laura Outhart and leaps onto the floor to boogie with her before

flipping her over his shoulder exposing the colour of her underwear to

the delighted throng.



10.30pm Eve Pollard forgets Aura’s launch for a few minutes and bops

with hubby Nick in joyous abandon. Daily Mail boss Guy Zitter observes

from a distance.



11pm Ben Davey is seen in a clinch with yet another agency beauty.

Meanwhile, Justin Farnan and BMP’s Adam Smith are trying to out-talk

each other and Headley Perkins attempts to impress Poorvi Patel with his

best Don Corleone impersonation.



12am The hospitable bar staff are now offering three beers when you’ve

only asked for one. Never mind, I’ll trouser two for later. The trendy

set decide to test the limits of the bar budget by moving onto double

vodka Red Bulls.



12.30am Metro boss Mike Anderson, surprisingly still standing on his

gammy leg, returns from chatting up Emily Lloyd in the VIP bar.



1.30am Those who have made amorous liaisons are exchanging slavering

goodnights. Meanwhile, several tired and emotional Metro staff are

escorted off the premises.



8.00am Zenith’s Sarah Thompson wakes up in hospital after slaloming down

the Tube escalators on her way home.
