It's back to basics for VisitBritain, which needs to rethink its strategy of promoting Blighty to the gay tourist community abroad. Ads featuring "half-naked hunks, Kylie Minogue and semi-clad men under Big Ben" were deemed too stereotypical. New concepts will feature "iconic images" such as the Buckingham Palace Guards dressed in the rainbow colours of the gay pride movement.
