DIARY: RSA's Cunningham is now the only cool guy in adland, it's official

Oh dear. Where once adland was seen as shaping cool, it has shown itself to be a bit off the boil at the moment. What with our revelation that the industry's movers and shakers had no idea where to find the exclusive New York import, the members bar Milk & Honey, comes further damning news.

A new coffee-table book entitled Bright Young Things London - hot off the press following a New York edition - is billed as the "Insider's View of English Young Style

and features the 36 hottest people, or couples, in London.

Apparently this incredibly fashionable and high-profile group is redefining society style. But one glance reveals an embarrassing lack of adlanders.

The only name, in at a modest 27, is RSA's reclusive director, Chris Cunningham.

And, apart from Harpers & Queen's Californian editor, Kim Hersov, and the Vanity Fair columnist Kate Reardon, the media world is conspicuous by its absence.

And while the model Saffron Aldridge is in at 14, her partner, Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/ Y&R's Robert Campbell, is nowhere to be seen.
