It is, in fact, the new moniker for VCCP's sister agency, the direct shop formerly known as Stephens Francis Whitson. To herald the change - and the exit of Neil Francis - the remaining founders, Ben Stephens and Chris Whitson, had some new pictures taken sans Francis. The dandyish Whitson, in particular, has drawn considerable attention from agency insiders for his resemblance to both Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and Quentin Crisp. The no-nonsense Stephens, meanwhile, has been compared to Minder's Terry McCann.
"VCCP me" might sound a bit like the sort of breathless plea an inebriated but ambitious junior member of staff, keen to get a leg up, would make to one of the founders of the aforementioned agency at the Christmas party - but it's not.
