DIARY: Sieghart’s skills as a diplomat would earn him a job with the FO

Take A Break-style magazine to convince doubting women of its charms.

The company behind the project is Forward Publishing, run by William

Sieghart. The Sunday Telegraph correctly identified one of the ironies

of this, since Forward is 50 per cent owned by Megalomedia which, in

turn, is chaired by a man with close links to the Tory Party, Maurice

Saatchi. What a tribute it is to Sieghart’s diplomatic skills to be able

to serve two such opposing masters.

But wait. Can this Sieghart also be the same William Sieghart whose

company produces the LibDems’ manifesto? Indeed it is. Give that man a

job in the Foreign Office.
