Francesca Newland is underwhelmed by Bartle Bogle Hegarty's current TV ad for Impulse: "To say this spot lacks subtlety is an understatement. Complete with rock-tune backing music and baseball theme, it looks very much like an American import, but isn't. The plot is corny and unconvincing and requires repeat views to understand why exactly she's watching a baseball match at the same time as driving a bus. The only impulse this ad will trigger is to go off and make a cup of tea."
