Diary: Turkey of the week - McCann Erickson/Oats & More

Kate Nettleton is considering a career in commercials acting, given that the bar has clearly been lowered so dramatically in McCann Erickson's new ad for Oats & More:

"This thinly veiled sales pitch in which a patronising dad tries to convince his equally smug teenage spawn that the oat- and cluster-filled bowl of wholesome cereal actually tastes disgusting is about as convincing as Boris Johnson's mayoral campaign. There's also a time and a place for reverse psychology, and ending an ad with the strapline 'You won't like it' just isn't going to work."
