WHAT TOPICS HAS THE INDUSTRY BEEN DISCUSSING THIS WEEK?
THE TALK TIME SPENT
Proximity retaining the TV Licensing DM account. 45 mins
Unthinkable when the BBC was first forced to call a
review in December 2008, following a story in The Sunday
Telegraph that claimed a mailer created by the agency
contained incorrect information. It seems the 15-month
process was long enough to brush the mistake under the
carpet.

Last week's BTAAs. Some worthy winners but it just 24 mins
didn't feel as special as the industry's big celebration
of TV should. Not enough great work, probably.

Specsavers' in-house creative department is 9 mins
surprising us all. After several Turkeys in previous
years, the advertiser has raised its game recently and the
Lynx spoof spot tops the lot. Agencies beware: the return
of the in-house creative department is nigh.
