Diary: Williams is smooth as silk on the mixing desk

Diary is pleased to report that not all TV sales directors play golf and watch rugby in their spare time.

When he's not negotiating airtime sales with hard-assed media agencies, five's Kelly Williams writes and produces music with Community Spirit Productions, and has just released a single called What Can I Say?, featuring the dance-club diva Alison Limerick on vocals. Limerick is internationally known for her classic club hit Where Love Lives, which was originally a hit in 1991 and has been remixed and re-released several times since, notably becoming a top-ten UK hit in 1996.

Williams, who was the co-writer and producer, spent last weekend helping promote the single, which has already received a positive review from MusicWeek and reached number 19 in its Cold Cuts chart.
