Digital One has launched a radio campaign to entice listeners to

tune in to its series of national digital channels.

The two-week campaign, which starts this week, will run on three

national analogue commercial stations: Classic FM, Virgin Radio and

TalkSport.

The stations offer a potential audience of more than ten million

listeners.

In the ad for TalkSport, a listener recounts sporting moments with Nick

Faldo. The Classic FM execution features a person listening to Beethoven

in the bathroom, with digital sound clarity. All executions share the

endline: ’Digital radio - tomorrow’s wireless.’

The advertising will refer listeners to the UKDigitalRadio.com website

for further information. It will also encourage them to visit their

local hi-fi retailer to purchase a digital set.

Digital One’s chief executive Quentin Howard said: ’By talking directly

to the listeners on the three national commercial stations, we can

educate them about the benefits of digital radio and build awareness of

the medium.’
