Option One has started 1997 by clinching two prestigious new
accounts. Chrysler Jeep has appointed Option One to handle its direct
marketing and sales promotion activity, worth up to pounds 1 million,
while Marks and Spencer Financial Services has chosen the agency to run
its cardholder communications programme.
Zenith Direct has launched its direct response analysis and planning
system, Zoom Direct, to select Zenith clients, including Rover Group,
Bristol Myers and Pedigree Petfoods. The system offers multilevel
analysis for both TV and press advertising against an extensive list of
criteria. The presentations were made by Zenith Direct’s director, Clare
Telewest Communications is launching a pounds 10 million branded
communications campaign through GGT and GGT Direct following their
appointment earlier this month (Campaign, 10 January). The aim is to
coordinate Telewest’s regional marketing campaigns under one banner and
a new campaign will roll out in the spring.
Littlewoods has agreed to pay pounds 395 million for Sears Freemans
Catalogues in a move that reaffirms its commitment to the home shopping
business. Littlewoods has now scrapped plans to expand its department
store and plans to concentrate on mail order.
