Evans Hunt Scott, the Euro RSCG-owned direct marketing agency, is
launching a sister operation in Leeds, to be headed by two directors
from WWAV Rapp Collins North.
Ashley Bolser and Jane Ison, who are negotiating their departure from
WWAV North this week, will be joined at EHS Bolser Ison by a creative
team from WWAV North, Andy Hair and Adrian Mullen.
The group will acclimatise themselves to EHS in London before setting up
in the North.
The new operation will work independently of the London agency, although
it will be able to draw on its resources.
Terry Hunt, the executive creative director of EHS, said: ’We’re
delighted to be backing such a high-quality team which shares our
business values and ambitions for direct marketing.’
It is understood that Bolser is on six months’ notice, but it is unclear
how much of that period he will be required to serve.
Ison is due to start maternity leave shortly, so is also not expected to
join EHS for some time. She has been with the WWAV group for ten years,
apart from a 22-month period spent at Richardson Pailin & Fallows in the
middle of her career.
The managing director of WWAV North, Helen Simpson, said of the
departures: ’We’ve never been about one or two individuals but about
teamwork. We’re sorry to see them go, but some senior appointments made
recently will more than balance out the loss.’
EHS Bolsor Ison will compete at a regional level with the likes of
Judith Donovan Associates, Poulter Direct, McCann-Erickson Manches- ter
and WWAV North.
