Disability Rights Commission 'nice day' by McCann Erickson

"Nice day", directed by Paul Gay with voiceover by Meera Syal, highlights the daily abuse and bullying suffered by people with learning disabilities. Featuring the actor Russell Ramsey, the film also sets out to challenge myths about Down's Syndrome and demonstrates how able people with the condition can be. The creative runs under the strapline "Are we taking the dis" and is a follow-up to the national press, cinema and billboard campaign which took place last year. The 60-second film is the work of McCann Erickson Communications House creative partners Ged Edmondson and Richard Irving.
