A dorky dad and a hoverboard feature in Campaign Big Awards' Automotive shortlist

Four agencies are vying to win the Automotive category in this year's Campaign Big Awards.

Adam & Eve/DDB is shortlisted for "The big arrival" for Volkswagen [above], a TV campaign about a dad trying to be cool as he drops his daughter off at school.

BBH has been recognised for its "Spin" ad for Audi, in which the Audi R8 performs a slow-motion doughnut and ends up creating one of the rings in the brand’s logo.

FCB Inferno received a nod for "BMW assist with advanced emergency call" for BMW UK.

CHI & Partners is also shortlisted for its "Slide" work for Lexus International, the viral film showing a skateboarder riding a hoverboard.

Judging for the Big Awards – the annual celebration of creative excellence in advertising – is taking place this week.

An awards ceremony celebrating the best work of the year will take place at Grosvenor House on Wednesday, 19 October.
