Draft Worldwide acquires UK direct agency

- Draft Worldwide has acquired the UK sales promotion and direct marketing agency, Marketing Principles, for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition propels Draft into the upper tiers of UK direct agencies, giving it a combined staff of 70 people.

Chris Lovell, chairman of Draft Worldwide, said: "Marketing Principles will add to our existing strengths in direct marketing and micro marketing with its skills in sales promotion and creative excellence."

David Croydon, chairman of Marketing Principles, becomes chief executive of Draft. Marketing Principles clients include Rothmans, Holsten Pils, Lloyds Pharmacy and Mirror Group Newspapers.
