EBay chooses VCCP as lead creative agency for Europe

VCCP will handle eBay's creative across UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain.

The pitch, handled by AAR, was called following the global e-commerce platform's global brand strategy refresh.

Prior to this, DDB Berlin was the brand's agency of record in Italy and Germany, with Adam & Eve/DDB providing creative support in the UK.

DDB Europe created eBay’s most recent spot, "Survive the disco", which showcases Christmas gift ideas in the context of an awkward school disco.

EBay’s vice-president marketing EMEA, Godert Van Dedem, said: "After a very strong pitch process during which we saw some truly amazing work, we are delighted to announce the appointment of VCCP as our European creative agency.

"Their understanding of the eBay brand shone through, and we look forward to partnering with them."
