EDITORIAL: Advertising still attracts, despite trials

Your heart goes out to Jonny Madderson writing this week about his efforts to land an agency job (page 18). His hopes have been built only to be dashed again, he's been ritually humiliated like a contestant in a reality TV show and even been expected to pay his own travelling costs for the privilege of it all. Not only have these experiences failed to destroy his determination to break into the business, but have actually fuelled it. Who says advertising isn't a magnet any more?
