Editorial: Only right Ofcom plugs ad ban loopholes

The sledgehammer approach by Ofcom to its children's TV junk-food ad ban is throwing up some startling disparities. While healthy products such as raisins, honey and low-fat margarines fall within the ban, obesity-fuelling foods such as chicken nuggets and oven chips do not. The ban is already unnecessarily Draconian. The least Ofcom can do is iron out the anomalies.
