Elle publisher Hachette launches regional sales division

LONDON - Hachette Filipacchi, the publisher of women's magazines Elle and Red, has launched a regional sales operation.

The publisher has formed a joint initiative with Unique Media Sales to create a dedicated unit to handle regional advertising sales across the UK.

UMS will run the sales operation from Manchester to sell regional solutions for magazines including Sugar, Inside Soap and TV Hits!

Julie Harris, general manager of Hachette Filipacchi's women's group, said: "Having a dedicated regional sales unit will ensure that UMS delivers the best possible integrated representation for our titles and will allow them to be closely involved in the strategy for our portfolio of magazines."

Hachette's regional sales were previously handled by The Pepper Group.
