Emap On Air begins hunt for staff to pull in dotcom clients

Emap On Air is building a sales team to chase internet advertising budgets, following the promotion of Hitesh Bhatt to the newly created role of dotcom manager.

Emap On Air is building a sales team to chase internet advertising

budgets, following the promotion of Hitesh Bhatt to the newly created

role of dotcom manager.



Bhatt replaces former dotcom executive James Ginzler, who quit the radio

company to join an internet venture.



Bhatt, who will report to Emap On Air’s sales director Dave King, will

target clients directly rather than through agencies. He will

concentrate on offering multimedia sales packages consisting of a range

of Emap products, including magazines, online and television.



Bhatt intends to look for sales staff to work under him within the next

three months.



Bhatt has an agency background, having worked as a planner/buyer and

rising to broadcast manager at Western International Media. He joined

Emap On Air as an account executive when the company launched in

1997.



Bhatt said: ’Emap’s offering to advertisers is growing constantly. I’m

looking forward to developing some innovative packages for new and

existing customers and clients.’



King commented: ’The net and radio are complementary media and this

market is very important to us.’
