Emap Media, publisher of Broadcast, is creating a sales team to
work on its online venture, Produxion.com.
The site, which launched on 27 January, is aimed at people in the TV and
commercial production business. It will contain a daily news service
provided by the Broadcast editorial team.
The sales department will be headed by sales manager Michael Robinson,
who has returned to Broadcast after a year at Metro Video as marketing
Robinson is poised to hire an ad manager and is looking for a sales
executive to target production companies.
The three will sell all advertising on the website other than
recruitment, which will be carried over from the magazine and placed on
the site free of charge.
Emap Media has also launched an online version of Screen International,
its magazine for the film industry, called ScreenDaily.com.
The site went live on 20 January. Screen International’s publishing
director Anne-Marie Flynn said the website would not carry advertising
at this stage.
