Emap has created three new divisions as part of an overhaul of its

sales operation.

The changes are aimed at providing advertisers with greater cross-media

opportunities. The new structure will see media sellers and planners

replaced by people selling across the portfolio.

Steve Newbold, the former commercial director at Emap Metro, has been

appointed to the new role of director of market development. His team

will focus on developing linkaging deals across Emap’s brands in several

categories, including film and music.

A second new division is brand management, which will be headed by Julie

Harris, the former commercial director of Emap Elan. The department aims

to improve the link between the advertising, publishing and editorial

teams.

The third division, creative solutions, will handle promotions and

sponsorships across the magazine business . It will be headed by

Loredana Roberts, who has been appointed client director.
