- Emap's much talked about entertainment weekly magazine launch -- codenamed Project J -- is to be called Heat.

The entertainment weekly, due to launch on February 2, is to be aimed at the 20 to 30 old age group. It is thought to be Emap's biggest consumer venture to date and some have put the launch and promotional investment involved as high as £5 million.

The launch campaign will include television ads created by Bartle Bogle Hegarty. The magazine will have a cover price of around £1 and an initial sales target of 100,000.

The magazine will have a strong listings element to it and one of its main competitors is expected to be the Radio Times and Time Out, the London-based listings magazine.
