Euro RSCG displays Ken's wit in London Transport campaign

Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper's advertising to raise awareness of transport issues in London breaks next week.

Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper's advertising to raise awareness of transport issues in London breaks next week.

The multimedia campaign will promote mayor Ken Livingstone's consultation process on London's transport strategy.

The campaign for Transport for London urges the public to voice an opinion on the plans and take part in shaping them. The ads include a free telephone number to allow Londoners to respond.

The poster and press campaign, which will run for one month, uses a series of headlines outlining some of Livingstone's key transport policies. The headlines are designed to provoke a reaction and include suggestions such as 'Shoot Drivers in Bus Lanes', 'Put Hackney Underground' and 'Flying Buses'.

Sub-headings then explain what the proposals actually mean.

Mark Wnek, executive creative director of Euro RSCG, said: 'These ads are packed full of Ken's charm and wit, while at the same time getting to real policies.'

The ads were written by Dominic Gettins and art directed by Olly Caporn.

Media is through New PHD.
