Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper has strengthened its planning department with

three new recruits, including Glen Flaherty, the former planning

director of Grey London.

Flaherty will work on the agency’s pounds 40 million Abbey National

business, which was recently centralised into Euro RSCG out of Barker

and Ralston (Campaign, 21 February). He will also contribute to the

Airbus account.

Neil Dawson, who was promoted to the post of planning director of Euro

RSCG at the start of the year, said: ’Our approach is to play to

individual strengths and hire the very best planner for each particular

piece of business. ’

Dawson has also recruited Joffy Connolly from Ogilvy and Mather, and

Nick Johnson from J. Walter Thompson. Connolly, who has spent the past

18 months working on Ford across Europe, will work at Euro RSCG on

Procter and Gamble, Microsoft, and the French Government Tourist

Office.

Flaherty said: ’Euro RSCG is about the most impressive agency in town at

the moment. You would have to be mad to walk away from an opportunity to

work there.’
