Euro RSCG promotes Ferguson to chief of global marketing group

Euro RSCG has named Iain Ferguson as the new chief of its global

marketing services group.

Ferguson succeeds Daniel Morel, the previous chief executive of Euro

RSCG Worldwide Marketing Services, who left earlier this year to replace

Jay Bingle as the chief executive of Impiric.

Ferguson will move to New York to take up his new position. He has a UK

background, having worked at the promotional and direct marketing group

KLP Euro RSCG as chief executive before taking the role of chief

executive Europe of Euro RSCG Marketing Services.

A key part of Ferguson's role is to ensure closer integration between

Euro RSCG's various DM, sales promotion, event marketing and interactive

marketing agencies. He will also look at making acquisitions.

Ferguson's recent management experience includes helping to create Euro

RSCG's global network The Sales Machine, which has brought together many

of its marketing services operations under one brand. However, Euro RSCG

will continue to run some direct and promotional agencies outside the

Sales Machine network.

Ferguson said: 'Marketing services is the fastest growing part of Euro

RSCG. There have been a number of acquisitions recently and a part of

the global role will be in making these work together.'

Ferguson's appointment coincides with other senior appointments at Euro

RSCG. Margaret Wagner has been named as the director of integrated

client services and Lisa Fabiano takes the new position of senior

vice-president of Euro RSCG Worldwide. Both have been promoted within

Euro RSCG.
