Microsoft has appointed Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper to co-ordinate its
advertising across Europe, Africa and the Middle East in a bid to create
a more consistent image.
Euro RSCG pitched with its sister agency, Evans Hunt Scott, and the
media agency, Mediapolis, for the business, which is expected to be
worth around pounds 5 million in billings and to be concentrated in
Europe. Joshua and Publicis Technology also pitched.
Microsoft has historically used separate agencies across Europe for its
product advertising, while its global agency, Wieden & Kennedy, handled
all brand advertising. The company has not done any brand advertising
outside the US since last year, when it began fighting a US Government
law suit over alleged anti-competitive practices.

which Euro RSCG picked up in 1994. The Euro RSCG network also handles
Microsoft in France and Germany.
