Eurostar aims to generate traffic with TradeDoubler deal

LONDON - Channel tunnel train operator Eurostar has signed an agreement with TradeDoubler to launch an affiliate marketing network.

The programme aims to generate traffic to Eurostar's website, via TradeDoubler's network of affiliate publisher partners.

TradeDoubler affiliates will be paid a commission for every Eurostar sale transaction secured via their site. The news comes as TradeDoubler also revealed figures showing a 390% increase in online travel sales between 2003 and 2004.

Will Cooper, chief marketing officer at TradeDoubler, said: "Affiliate marketing is a highly effective form of mutually beneficial online advertising and provides an economical option to advertisers such as Eurostar to increase brand awareness and drive online sales."
