Eurotunnel awards O&M pan-Euro task

- Following an exhaustive six month pitch process, Eurotunnel has appointed Ogilvy & Mather to handle its estimated £25 million European advertising account.

- Following an exhaustive six month pitch process, Eurotunnel has appointed Ogilvy & Mather to handle its estimated £25 million European advertising account.

O&M won the business following a head-to-head battle with Bates Dorland. Incumbent agency TBWA GGT Simons Palmer was eliminated in the first round along with, Young and Rubicam and Leo Burnett.

O&M will be responsible for all strategic work across the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. Its initial task will be to focus on building the Eurotunnel brand.

O&M comes on board as Eurotunnel faces the challenge of shoring up the cross channel service in the face of the abolition of duty free next year.
