Fallon has created a national press and outdoor campaign for the Starbucks coffee chain to support the launch of its Chocolate Praline Mocha.
The ads offer various tongue-in-cheek justifications for indulging in this rich Mocha variety. One reads: 'Pantihose with reinforced tummy control panels are readily available at leading department stores.' Another claims: 'Elasticated waist trousers are back in fashion.' A third suggests: 'You can buy one of those electro-toning machine thingies just down the road.'
The campaign, which breaks on 9 February, was written by Ros Sinclair, art directed by Sean Thompson and photographed by Sandro Sodano. Media is through Manning Gottlieb Media.
The ads will be backed with point-of-sale material created by Adam Whittaker and Hugh Tarpey of Duffy, Fallon's sister design company which has just been appointed to create Starbucks' in-store communications. The client wants greater synergy with its above-the-line advertising.
