Faze TV to hit Sky screens in September

Faze TV, a new TV channel that claims to be the first in the UK established exclusively for gay men, has been given a slot on the Sky Digital platform.

The channel is the brainchild of former-BSkyB senior boss David Bouchier, whjo recently left as programming managing director for Sky Italia to form Faze TV.

Content on the channel will cover news, community and health issues, fashion, clubbing and travel, alongside buying in various comedy and cult series, interviews late-night adult programming.

Faze TV will launch on Sky on 1 September after what is expected to be a major marketing campaign at this summer’s Pride festivals in London and other UK cities.

Bouchier said: “The launch of a TV channel just for gay men is long overdue in Britain.

“The channel’s schedule will appeal to every aspect of being a gay man in Britain today and we will avoid the clichés which mainstream channels use to appeal to their ‘straight’ audience.

“There are many gay men on television today – but no TV for gay men!  Faze TV will reflect the lives and interests of real gay guys.”
