Adam Findlay, Clear Channel Radio Sales head of sponsorship, is

leaving to join his father’s company, Scottish Radio Holdings, as a

sales director.

Findlay, who managed CCRS’s six-strong sponsorship and promotions

department, will front sales for the group’s Northsound radio

stations.

His father, Richard Findlay, is chief executive of Scottish Radio

Holdings.

Findlay arrived at CCRS from the radio sales house Katz, where he spent

two years in the sponsorship unit.

In his new position, Findlay will report to Northsound’s managing

director Rod Webster. He will oversee a six-strong sales team as well a

sales support unit, which sells locally for the radio stations

Northsound 1 and 2. A start date for Findlay’s new job has yet to be

confirmed.

Based in Aberdeen, the two radio channels broadcast across North-east

Scotland. Scottish Radio Holdings operates 12 local stations in

Scotland. These include Radio Tay, Clyde, Westsound, Downtown and Moray

Firth.

CCRS is poised to announce the appointment of a head of sponsorship to

replace Findlay, as well as a sponsorship director for Jazz FM. The

chosen Jazz FM sponsorship chief will report to CCRS’s new head of

sponsorship and is believed to have a magazine sales background.
