- Fish4, the UK regional newspaper network of websites, has appointed Chantal Burns from IPC to head up its newly formed in-house sales team and John Bennett from ITN to head up the in-house recruitment sales team.

Burns leaves IPC Magazines where she managed the Woman & Home sales team. Also joining are Sarah Lindsay-Bush formerly with IPC; Karen Keene who joins from Martin Leach Publishing; and Katie Knight a former client services account manager with EMAP.

Bennett was a business development manager at ITN responsible for the sale of archive news. Working alongside Bennett at Fish4 in business development roles are Paul Zurcher, Paul Moreton and Teri Godly.

The introduction of a dedicated recruitment team marks a significant extension of the service. Previously, recruitment has been sold solely via Fish4's network of 800 regional newspapers.

The in-house sales team takes over from Real Media which have been handling Fish4's advertising sales since its launch last October. Fish4 will continue to use Open Adstream - Real Media's ad serving system and infrastructure and together they will explore ways of developing future opportunities.

The Fish4 web sites were set up by regional newspaper groups Northcliffe Newspapers Group, Newsquest Media Group, Trinity Mirror, Guardian Media Group Regional Newspapers, Regional Independent Media and Bristol United Press.
