Former O&M digital chief Jane Ostler to run JWT new media

J. Walter Thompson has appointed Jane Ostler as the managing

director of its London-based digital services division, digital@jwt.

Ostler, who was previously a managing partner at MindShare Digital and

the head of digital communications for Ogilvy & Mather, joins

digital@jwt following an 18-month stint as a director of the investment

company The Accelerator Group.

Ostler replaces Jeremy Davies, the previous managing director, who left

in June when the cable giant ntl poached him to take the position of

director of commercial content.

Davies left the agency after 11 years to join JWT's former chief

executive, Stephen Carter, who was also recruited by ntl last year.

Ostler said: "At the moment JWT has an enormous amount of momentum. I

was delighted to accept. The first thing we need to do is to speak to

the clients and find out what their needs are in digital media. I

suspect that there's a lot of untapped potential there."
