- Four agencies are battling it out for an initial project for online service company, EarthLink Network, that could quickly develop into a £30 million ($50 million) account.

The four agencies, all Southern California based, are BBDO West, Mendelsohn/Zien, Ground Zero and Team One Advertising. Presentations are expected to take place shortly with a decision due in September.

Citron Haligman Bedecarr, out of San Francisco, DDB Needham in Los Angeles and Publicis & Hal Riney in San Francisco were eliminated earlier in the review.

The initial assignment is understood to be worth around £1.8 million ($3 million) although quite what the nature of the project is remains underwraps. If the project tests well the winning agency will pick up the entire account.
