Fox appoints Walker Media and Depot to handle FX UK debut

Fox International Channels UK has announced its agency line-up to support the launch of its entertainment channel FX UK.

Creative will be handled by The Depot and media planning and buying will be by Walker Media.

FX UK launches early next year targeting men aged 25 to 44 - a category termed "adultman" by Fox. It is the first wholly owned News Corporation channel to be broadcast on the Sky Digital platform. Fox is also negotiating to broadcast the channel on ntl and Telewest.

Content will include UK premieres, bought-in series, films and specials from UK and US distributors.

The Depot and Walker Media have experience on media and entertainment brands. The Depot has worked with clients including BBC World, the Sci-Fi Channel and Channel 4. Walker Media has worked for five and has Blockbuster on its client list.

Jason Thorp, the vice-president of broadcasting and marketing at Fox, said: "Both The Depot and Walker Media are ideally suited to the direction of the new FX UK channel. We needed teams who could really appreciate the idea of who 'adultman' is."
