Fox hires creative director for new UK men's channel FX

LONDON - Fox International Channels has appointed a creative director to work on the launch of its UK entertainment channel FX UK.

Mark Brooks, a freelance producer and director who has worked with broadcasters including Flextech and Trans World International, will develop the look and feel of the new station.

FX UK is expected to launch next spring on the Sky Digital platform. It will target a male audience with a mix of UK and US dramas, movies and special features.

Jason Thorp, vice-president of broadcasting and marketing at Fox, said: "I am thrilled that we have appointed someone of Mark's calibre to this vital position. His skills and experience in broadcasting will be vital for the creative identity and direction of the new FX UK channel."
