The agency beat GGT to the business in a final pitch. Lucie Scotte, the marketing general manager of Freemans, also held discussions with HHCL & Partners.

Earlier this year, Michaelides & Bednash were hired to handled media strategy.

Scott commented: "WCRS' innovative creative and strategic approach, along with the strength of its team, convinced us they were the right partner."

Freemans currently uses Grey for its mainstream catalogue, which sells mainly unbranded goods to middle and lower income women. However, it elected to find a separate agency for the new catalogue to ensure that the two products were marketed as differently as possible. Budgets are unconfirmed.
