Not only is this spot interesting from a creative standpoint, the media strategy is also noteworthy. As well as appearing on MTV and the Puma website, the work will feature on a DVD that will be given away with every pair of the shoes that is sold. Shot on video, the film remains true to the style of old martial arts films, complete with dodgy sound, out-of-focus shots and bad dubbing. It's energetic, kitsch and amusing, as well as being a highly original contribution to the sports category.
