Animation often attempts to mask the lack of an idea. Not here. Not only do these Starbucks ads demonstrate a beautiful use of shape, colour and texture, they also tell a story and demonstrate a brand proposition simply and effectively. The 15-second spots show the relaxing elements of a Frappuccino and the energetic nature of the DoubleShot, and are played back-to-back in 30-second time slots. The music, by indie-rock favourites Yo La Tengo, adds to the spots' stand-out nature.
