GALLERY 28: Cannes Contenders - New Zealand Lottery

A charming spot, animated in an old cartoon style by former Disney animator, John Ewing. The concept centres around the dream of giving up work should one win the lottery. Hence we see a character, 'Cog', who manages to leave his machine and enjoy his freedom. The simple story beautifully highlights the Lotteries positioning 'anything is possible'. Aided by a Gracie Fields soundtrack, the ad feels like a 1940s cartoon discovered in some dusty vaults.
