"It is estimated that in 1997, ten million jobs were lost due to the greed of currency speculators. In 1999, Brazil spent $40bn trying to defend its currency. And child prostitution rose 20 per cent in Thailand when its economy crumbled. These are all incredibly chilling statistics. However, the ad itself doesn't seem to exploit these facts. Instead, it shows stock footage of a pack of vultures. It felt rather predictable. But then again, maybe the facts are enough." (DD)
