GALLERY 29: Most Talked About - Yorkie

J Walter Thompson has pushed the barriers just that little bit further with its new 30-second ad for Yorkie. The bold strapline "It's not for girls" is a daring marketing ploy and has provoked a strong reaction. The ad plays on the brand's strong heritage (its famous ads of the 1980s positioned Yorkie as a macho trucker's bar) and is a far cry from the bland work of its competitors. A weighty idea that appeals to both sexes.
