German adspend rises 6 per cent

Approximately 24 per cent of total advertising volume was invested in consumer magazines, with 21 per cent in daily newspapers, according to Focus Magazine's market analysis "German Media 1998". In all, print media enjoyed a 49 per cent market share, the same as electronic media, including TV.

The study estimates that over 8 billion DM will flow into online advertising by the year 2000, with budgets of over 660 million DM expected by the end of the century.
