Goodstuff will deliver media strategy, planning and buying for Huawei’s consumer business, focusing on its smartphones. These include the Ascend P6, promoted as the "world’s slimmest".

M2M and Havas Media were previously on Huawei’s media roster and had to pitch for projects.

Huawei, which last week denied rumours that it plans to buy Nokia, is aiming to be among the top three smartphone manufacturers, alongside its competitors Samsung and Apple.

Huawei’s creative agency Let Us Create was not affected by the media appointment.
